Commercial Construction completes Hill House project three months early

Commercial Construction is proud to announce the completion of Hill House at Beechfield three months ahead of schedule. This project involved the construction of a new 62+ affordable senior community in Bowie, Maryland. The four-story, 150-unit project will soon provide residents with modern, energy-efficient homes and amenities designed for comfort and connection.

The project, developed by KCG Development and Streetscape Partners, faced major utility delays that left the site without permanent or temporary power. Instead of slowing down, the Commercial Construction team shifted their approach and powered every phase of the build entirely through generators. “Within three weeks of getting power, we are turning this building over. We are so thankful to our partners and proud to give the community such a great place to live,” said Commercial Construction Executive Vice President, Cherelle Reno.

Superintendent, David Sharaby credited “incredible teamwork and attention to detail” for the success of this project. Assistant Project Manager, Alexis Edminster added that “despite challenges with power and stormwater control, the finished building is beautiful.”

For the development partners, the project’s success goes beyond construction milestones. “We are solving for a real need in this community by adding more affordable housing for seniors,” said Mo McRae of KCG Development. “It was a true test of partnership, and the team rose to the occasion every step of the way.”

Hill House at Beechfield stands as a monument to our determination, adaptability, and commitment to community impact.
