23 Feb Commercial Interiors receives high praise from Whiting-Turner for the Baltimore Ravens Under Armour Performance Center
Commercial Interiors’ Site Manager Miguel Zanella received formal recognition from Whiting-Turner Contracting Company for his outstanding performance on the Baltimore Ravens’ Under Armour Performance Center renovation, a project that went on to win best in class in the Spa and Wellness category at the 2025 International Thermory Design Awards.
In a formal letter sent to Commercial Interiors, Whiting-Turner Project Managers Steve Pariseau and Amanda Allen praised Miguel for his organization, attentiveness, and consistent professionalism throughout the project, including through an intensive double-shift schedule.
The facility, known as The Castle, is a 20,000-square-foot performance and recovery center that underwent a full renovation in the summer of 2025. The centerpiece of the project was a hydrotherapy suite featuring lap pools, plunge pools, custom saunas, and recovery spaces designed to support elite athletes at the highest level. The material of choice throughout the space was Thermory Magnolia, a thermally modified wood that resists moisture, warping, and rot without chemicals, making it ideal for the demanding conditions of a professional training environment.
The build carried a compressed five-and-a-half-month schedule with no shortage of moving parts and unexpected changes, all of which Miguel navigated with precision, which Whiting-Turner certainly recognized and appreciated. Their entire team would welcome the opportunity to work with Commercial Interiors, and Miguel specifically, on future projects.
This is the result of someone who shows up every day, gives everything they have, and does so in excellence as is the Commercial way.
We are proud to have superstars like Miguel on our team, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Whiting-Turner on future projects.
Congratulations, Miguel. You earned it.
